(L.A.) Angela Lai, 37, Died at a Residence 🥕

Case Number: 2023-16436

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Asian female that occurred at her place of residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Angela Lai.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Chronic Ethanol Use

RIP ANGELA LAI (April 19, 1986 – November 27, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:40 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on January 20, presumably after the results of tox screening came back negative for substances. Note the word “chronic” — this was not an acute incident of alcohol poisoning, which if it were, would have classified the death as an accident instead of a natural death.

We do not know if the decedent was injected with synthetic mRNA.

UPDATE: Apparently, the decedent was Angela Lai, MD. who was employed as a primary care physician at the Sepulveda Primary Care Family Center in the Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Health Care System (VA GLA).

Doctor Lai earned her undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and received her medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She had been a member of the VA GLA community since 2011 when she began her residency training in the combined Cedars-Sinai/Veterans Affairs Internal Medicine Training Program. Upon completing her residency, she served as a hospitalist in the San Francisco Bay area for three years before returning the VA GLA system in 2017 to serve as a primary care physician for the veteran patient population.
