(L.A.) Andrew Aldape, 26, Died in an Ambulance

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred in an ambulance.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Andrew Aldape.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Morbid Obesity

RIP ANDREW ALDAPE (December 12, 1998 – December 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 1:35 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
