(L.A.) Amy Matsushita, 28, Died From a Meth OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Asian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Amy Matsushita.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Methamphetamine Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Acute Exacerbation of Bronchial Asthma

RIP AMY MATSUSHITA (January 13, 1996 – August 31, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:42 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
