Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Amere French.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP AMERE FRENCH (May 8, 1984 – March 19, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:26 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 17, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
