(L.A.) A’Miya Dawson, 7, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a seven-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the child as Amaiya Dawson.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Acute Respiratory Failure

Cause of Death B: Aspiration Pneumonitis

Other Significant Condition: Blunt-Force Trauma
