(L.A.) Allyson Sabharwal, 31, Died on the 101 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred on the Ventura Freeway in Woodland Hills.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Allyson Sabharwal.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP ALLYSON KIRAN SABHARWAL (December 16, 1992 – June 4, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 5:11 p.m.

The decedent was fatally injured when her motorcycle crashed into a vehicle on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills.

Firefighter-paramedics had responded to the freeway near the De Soto Avenue off-ramp at around 5:00 p.m. for a collision involving a motorcyclist lying unresponsively on the ground.

FD officials said another vehicle may have possibly hit the woman after the initial collision.

 

Sabharwal had been scheduled to speak at this year’s VidCon in Anaheim, June 26 — 29.

The last time a female motorcyclist died in an accident in L.A. County was in December 2023 when a 29-year-old was killed. Before that, a 31-year-old female motorcyclist died in August 2023.
