(L.A.) Alicia Archila, 38, Died From Abusing Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Alicia Archila.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Complications of End-Stage Renal Disease

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP ALICIA ARCHILA (January 26, 1986 – September 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:16 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
