Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Latino male that occurred in a motel.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Alexander Rivas. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Martinez.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:44 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 19, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
