(L.A.) Alex Canizales, 39, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Alex Canizales. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Back

Other Significant Condition: Sharp-Force Injury of Chest

RIP ALEX CANIZALES (June 16, 1986 – December 8, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made early Monday morning.

The decedent was the person shot dead by LAPD by a 7-Eleven in Reseda. Officers responded just after midnight.
