(L.A.) Aleksandre Modebadze, 47, Died in Woodland Hills

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Aleksandre Modebadze.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Arrhythmia

Cause of Death B: Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Cause of Death C: Physical Assault

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:44 a.m.

The decedent’s name is Georgian (from the country of Georgia). ალექსანდრე მოდებაძე / ალექსი მოდებაძე / Александр Модебадзе

It appears he had been arrested in August 2020 in Santa Clarita for a narcotics-related charge.

Supposedly, he was attacked by three other Georgians who invaded his home. The three men have been arrested. They are 38-year-old Paata Kochyashvili, 46-year-old Zaza Otarashvili, and 52-year-old Besiki Khutsishvili. Bail for each was initially set at two million dollars. After charges were presented in court on April 29, the judge set no bail due to flight risk. They have not retained private attorneys and are being represented by public defenders.

Los Angeles police responded to the 22200 block of De La Osa Street at 6:45 a.m. The home is located across Woodland Hills Elementary School.

Arriving officers found the victim, described only as an adult male, dead at the scene. He was apparently beaten and had a head wound.
