(L.A.) Alanah Leija, 18, Ended Her Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Latin American female that occurred at the UCLA Campus.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Alanah Leija from Downey, California.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death A: Transection of Right Femoral Artery and Vein

Cause of Death B: Sharp Force Injury of the Right Thigh

RIP ALANAH LEIJA (March 10, 2003 – February 1, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:26 a.m.

The decedent was found in a bathroom at 265 De Neve Drive, Rm Ch 444, Los Angeles, CA 90024. This is the address of UCLA’s Centennial Hall.

A paraplegic, she had been in a wheelchair for at least six years.

She is survived by her parents and two sisters.
