(L.A.) Alanah Leija, 18, Committed Suicide

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old female of Hispanic/Latin American ethnicity that occurred in a bathroom.

The coroner’s office has identified the young woman as Alanah Leija from Downey, California.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death A: Transection of Right Femoral Artery and Vein

Cause of Death B: Sharp Force Injury of the Right Thigh

RIP ALANAH LEIJA (March 10, 2003 – February 1, 2022)

The decedent took her own life at UCLA’s Centennial Hall.

A paraplegic, she had been in a wheelchair for at least six years.

She is survived by her parents and two sisters.
