(L.A.) Abdias Gabriel-Fernandez, 49, Died in Antelope Valley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred on a highway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Abdias Gabriel-Fernandez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

The decedent, a woman and two children were in a Chevrolet Colorado that accelerated from a stop sign into the path of a Dodge Ram 3500 by the intersection of state Route 138 (West Avenue D) and 110th Street West in Antelope Acres.

California Highway Patrol heard about the crash at 4:25 p.m.

LANCASTER, California

At approximately 4:26 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Avenue D and 110th Street West. Upon arrival, officers discovered two heavily damaged vehicles and three individuals who had been ejected from at least one of the vehicles.

All three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A fourth victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
