(L.A.) Aaron Carter, 34, Died by Drowning after Huffing

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Aaron Carter.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Drowning

Cause of Death B: Effects of Difluoroethane and Alprazolam

RIP AARON CARTER (December 7, 1987 – November 5, 2022)

 
The singer’s body was found inside his home in Lancaster, California. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Difluoroethane is a refrigerant gas that’s an intoxicant that precipitates fatal cardiac arrhythmia. Several reports of fatal car crashes have been linked to drivers huffing difluoroethane. Reality star Melanie Rauscher recently died in July 2022 after inhaling several cans of compressed air.

Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders.

Aaron Carter was the younger brother of Nick Carter, who is a member of the Backstreet Boys.
