Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a stairwell.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alvis Mcelroy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP ALVIS MCELROY (February 12, 1982 – April 6, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:45 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 3, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
