(L.A.) Juan Andrade, 55, Died After Lincoln Park Lake Incident

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Latino male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Juan Andrade.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Drowning

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at a hospital.

The decedent was a handyman and cook who apparently dove into Lincoln Park Lake to rescue his autistic 14-year-old child from drowning.
