(L.A.) Carlos Ortiz, 16, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the teen as Carlos Ortiz.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

LASD said the boy was shot to death near Orange Avenue and Amar Road in La Puente at around 5:15 p.m.
