Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old female that occurred in the ocean.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Nefertari Ramsey and listed her race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern / North African.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Drowning

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent’s body was found in the area of the Marina del Rey harbor. She appears to have been a light-skinned Egyptian.
