(L.A.) Marlin Anderson, 50, Died at a Prison/Correctional Facility

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Black male that occurred at a prison/correctional facility.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Marlin Anderson.
Height: 5 feet 6 inches / Weight: 200 pounds
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Condition: Obesity
RIP MARLIN EUGENE ANDERSON (November 14, 1974 – October 21, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.
The decedent was found unresponsive inside his cell at Men’s Central Jail in downtown L.A.
He had a long rap sheet going back over a decade with arrests for shoplifting, theft, robbery, and drug-related offenses. He was picked up in February by Burbank PD.
This is LASD’s 39th in-custody death for the year.
