(L.A.) Veronica Sowter, 82, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 82-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Veronica Sowter of Newhall.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The decedent was injured in a four-vehicle collision on Soledad Canyon Road and Golden Oak Road in Canyon Country.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station heard about the crash at 12:49 p.m. and L.A. County Fire Department paramedics were dispatched at 12:52 p.m., arriving at 1:03 p.m.

An ambulance started transporting victims to the hospital at 1:19 p.m.
