(L.A.) Javier Cardenas, 17, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 17-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the teen as Javier Cardenas.

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Ebstein Anomaly

RIP JAVIER CARDENAS VALDEZ JR. (December 28, 2007 – May 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

Ebstein’s anomaly is a congenital heart defect in which the septal and posterior leaflets of the tricuspid valve are displaced downwards towards the apex of the right ventricle of the heart.
