(L.A.) Joseph Hawkins, 29, Died in Palmdale

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Black male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joseph Hawkins.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP JOSEPH RYAN HAWKINS (January 4, 1996 – June 21, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday in a location described by the government investigator as brush. This was at around 9:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of Elizabeth Lake Road.

The decedent had been walking along the edge of the roadway when he was hit by a 2007 Honda. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Elizabeth Lake Road, just west of 10th Street West.
