(L.A.) Fontella Rose, 55, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black female that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Fontella Rose.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
