(L.A.) Alyssa Simmons, 24, Died at an Embankment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at an embankment.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Alyssa Simmons.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:49 a.m.

California Highway Patrol said that a vehicle overturned down an embankment of the Artesia (91) Freeway in Cerritos.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. on the freeway transition road connecting the eastbound Artesia (91) Freeway to the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.
