(L.A.) Mih’Shon Smith, 15, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the teenage boy as Mih’Shon Smith.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Sodium Nitrite Toxicity

RIP MIH’SHON SMITH (November 10, 2009 – March 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:33 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 23, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
