(L.A.) Juan Ramirez, 45, Died From a Head Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Compton.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Juan Ramirez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Head

RIP JUAN RAMIREZ (September 14, 1979 – February 27, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 6:13 p.m.

LASD said the shooting happened at around 6:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Whitemarsh Avenue, one block south of Alondra Boulevard.

Compton Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
