(L.A.) Toby McKinstry, 47, Died From Natural Causes

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Toby McKinstry.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Pulmonary Thromboemboli

Cause of Death B: Deep Vein Thrombosis

RIP TOBY MCKINSTRY (August 6, 1977 – December 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:59 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
