The coroner’s office has identified the man as Vernell Lowell Reed.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP VERNELL LOWELL REED (February 12, 1943 – September 2, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:03 p.m.

This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest.

The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Reed Vernell Lowell.
