(L.A.) Baby Girl Tenorio Died From Illicit Drug Intoxication

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the infant girl as Baby Girl Tenorio.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Intrauterine Fetal Demise

Other Significant Conditions: Maternal Fentanyl, Fluorofentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Methadone Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:03 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late December, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

This is classified as an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.

Intrauterine fetal demise is the medical term for a stillbirth.
