(L.A.) Edwin Salgado, 23, Died in San Pedro

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Latino male.
The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Edwin Salgado of Gardena.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuies

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:05 p.m.
The Department Medical Examiner gave the decedent’s place of death as a sidewalk, but according to LAFD, the body was found lifeless at the base of a seaside cliff near Royal Palms Park in San Pedro.
Firefighter-paramedics responded to the 2300 block of West Paseo Del Mar at 12:57 p.m. to assist county lifeguards in recovering the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear how he ended up at the bottom of the cliff. LAPD’s Harbor Division has jurisdiction over this case.
