(L.A.) Pedro Meza Diaz, 50, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Rosemead.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Pedro Meza Diaz.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds
RIP PEDRO MEZA DIAZ (June 20, 1974 – July 31, 2024)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:14 p.m.
The decedent was fatally shot about 20 times by two San Gabriel police officers in the 2600 block of Charlotte Avenue, a cul-de-sac near Garvey Avenue, after a so-called vehicle pursuit.
A Ring camera captured the moment that he had stopped his Jeep and was then was rained on by a volley of gunfire.
Meza, who operated his own landscaping business, had no criminal history and no warrants for his arrest.
His family has filed a claim against the City of San Gabriel for wrongful death and violation of civil rights.
This was a horrible tragedy, My house and Car was shot up with 9 Bullets This was so wrong for all the gun fire, My sister & I could of been shot as well. Why did they do this? RIP Pedro 🙁
