Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Asian female that occurred at a residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Leyna Nguyen.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Sodium Nitrite Toxicity
RIP LEYNA NGUYEN (February 4, 2005 – December 12, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:50 a.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
The decedent’s surname is Vietnamese.
