Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Black female that occurred at a residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Shantay Bevels.
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Sequelae of Morbid Obesity
RIP SHANTAY BEVELS (March 5, 1965 – November 28, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:40 a.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
