(L.A.) Jose Calderon Vasquez, 42, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Calderon Vasquez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Acute Alcohol Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis; Glycosuria

RIP JOSE CALDERON VASQUEZ (January 17, 1981 – August 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:10 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Jose Calderon” in public records.
