The coroner’s office has identified the child as Yeshua Cordova Tobar.

The decedent appears to have been one of two victims who died in a two-vehicle crash in Van Nuys.

Video description: A 5-year-old boy and a woman were both killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision Thursday night that also left four patients hospitalized.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department was dispatched just after 9:30 p.m. for a traffic collision with multiple victims injured in the 6400 block of North Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported a two-vehicle collision with a total of six patients. An elderly female was determined deceased at the scene. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
