Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old female that occurred at her home.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Yeganeh Golchinpour.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Effects of Bupropion and Cocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:21 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 2, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

The decedent’s name appears to be Iranian / Persian.

Bupropion, sold under the brand name Wellbutrin among others, is an atypical antidepressant primarily used to treat major depressive disorder and to support smoking cessation. It is also popular as an add-on medication in the cases of “incomplete response” to the first-line selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant.
