(L.A.) Xavier Ocegueda, 8, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an eight-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the child as Xavier Ocegueda of La Puente.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Head Trauma

RIP XAVIER OCEGUEDA (July 27, 2016 – December 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:35 p.m.

The decedent appears to have been fatally injuired in a head-on crash on Highway 39 above Azusa and Glendora.

CHP said multiple people were injured in a collision between an SUV and a sedan one mile south of of East Fork Road at around 5 p.m. Only the boy did not survive.
