(L.A.) Orlando Diaz, 42, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Orlando Diaz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Effects

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Alcohol

RIP ORLANDO DIAZ (October 13, 1982 – December 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:50 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
