RIP WILLIAM HICKS (November 9, 1987 – February 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:57 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Methamphetamine can inhibit the ability of cells to absorb glucose, leading to elevated blood sugar levels, which is particularly dangerous for people with diabetes who already struggle with glucose regulation.
