(L.A.) Wesley Carnes, 74, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 74-year-old Black male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Wesley Carnes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: History of Hypertension and Myocardial Infarction

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:01 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 17, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug. This was an accidental overdose.
