(L.A.) Vivien Huerta-Guimont, 30, Died on PCH

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway, near Malibu.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Vivien Huerta-Guimont.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:50 p.m.

The decedent had apparently lost control of her crossover SUV, struck a parked vehicle and a power pole, then plunged over the side of a cliff.

The crash happened in the 3600 block of Pacific Coast Highway, near Mulholland Drive and Leo Carrillo State Beach.

Authorities said the woman’s Honda Pilot swerved across the highway for unknown reasons and hit a parked Toyota, then struck a power pole and careened over the cliff. The woman was ejected as her car rolled down the cliff.

Video description: One person was found ejected and ultimately pronounced deceased after a vehicle crashed into a parked occupied car on the shoulder of Pacific Coast Highway near the city of Malibu Thursday night.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department along with California Highway Patrol officers with the West Valley Station responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash at approximately 9:24 p.m. Thursday on Pacific Coast Highway near Leo Carillo Beach in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County.

A Honda CRV was traveling northbound on Pacific Coast Highway when, for an unknown reason, the female driver lost control of the Honda and veered across southbound lanes of PCH and collided with a Toyota Yaris that was legally parked on the shoulder.
