Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Victor Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Alprazolam Toxicity

RIP VICTOR GARCIA (June 1, 2004 – August 21, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:14 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 28, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.
