The coroner’s office identified the man as Victor Cocolotta. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

LAPD responded at around 5:30 a.m. to Lassen Street and Canoga Avenue, where they found the victim lying in a driveway.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 1.
