The suspect, 48-year-old Robert Galtman, led the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on a multi-county pursuit into the Antelope Valley before surrendering.

Pomona Police Department officers had responded to the complex on East Monterey Avenue at around 3:20 p.m., where they found both victims deceased from gunshot wounds.

Family members reported that Lopez was trying to leave an abusive relationship with Galtman, and Brady, her neighbor, was attempting to help or console her when they were killed.
