Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old female of Latin American ethnicity that occurred at a transient encampment.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Veronica Bernard.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP VERONICA BERNARD (October 12, 1965 – January 28, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:56 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 15, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.
