(L.A.) Vernell Myles, 44, Died at a Loading Dock

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Black male that occurred at a loading dock.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Vernell Myles.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP VERNELL MYLES (October 15, 1980 – November 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:26 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
