(L.A.) Vanessa McKinney, 60, Died From a Meth OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Vanessa McKinney.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP VANESSA MCKINNEY (January 5, 1965 – January 14, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 1:12 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
