(L.A.) Tyrun Murphy, 50, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Tyrun Murphy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP TYRUN MURPHY (December 19, 1972 – January 30, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:25 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-September, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
