(L.A.) Tomas Ramirez Pedro, 49, Died at an Intersection

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old male of Latin American ethnicity that occurred at an intersection.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Tomas Ramirez Pedro.

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP TOMAS RAMIREZ PEDRO (February 15, 1974 – March 17, 2023)

The decedent was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Gardena.

Gardena Police Department officers responded to the intersection of Vermont and Rosecrans avenues around 2:50 a.m. Friday and found two vehicles with major collision damage in the center median of Vermont Avenue.

L.A. County Fire Department firefighters arrived at the scene and rendered medical aid.

Tomas Ramirez Pedro was driving a Honda southbound on Vermont Avenue and a Volkswagen was being driven eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue when the crash occurred.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to witnesses at the scene, one of the vehicles was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light before the crash.
