Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Todd Cawyer.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

RIP TODD CAWYER (October 4, 1979 – May 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:28 a.m.

The decedent was hit by a careening vehicle as he was walking on a sidewalk at Eighth and Alvarado streets in Westlake, at around 11:50 p.m. Sunday.
