Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Black male that occurred at Fire Station 145.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Tesfaye Ringwood.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Phencyclidine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: History of Hypertension

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:13 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent’s forename is Ethiopian in origin.
